WHO ARE TEAM LMA?
Team LMA is thrilled to celebrate 21 glorious years of promoting martial arts in the heart of Morley. Founded on Commercial Street, now based in alexandra mills. Leeds Martial Arts College was born out of paul lynch’s desire to give back to the community that supported him.
Paul envisioned a place where youngsters could learn not just the art of self-defence, but also the invaluable life skills that shaped him into the World Champion kickboxer he became. It’s these principles of respect, focus, and discipline, coupled with the commitment to a healthy lifestyle and mindset, that have been at the core of Team LMA’s ethos since its inception. As we celebrate over two decades of growth and impact, we honour our vision and reaffirm our commitment to nurturing well-rounded martial artists who are equipped to face the challenges both in the ring and in life.
core lma principles
We respect ourselves and others. We practice courtesy and good manners at home and in class.
In class and at home, we concentrate on what we are doing and do the best we can.
We help others to be the best they can be. We set an example of working hard to be the best we can be.
By practicing everyday, we get better. When we get better, our confidence grows.
We set targets. We work hard towards our goals each day until we achieve them.
By practicing martial arts, our bodies become stronger. We gain control over our coordination, balance and movement.
We practice martial arts to keep our body healthy. We practice being positive to keep our attitude healthy.
By paying attention to what is around us, we can see where we can help and make a positive difference.
Exercise keeps us fit on the outside. Eating a healthy diet keeps us fit on the inside. We practice both.
By being honest and trustworthy we create good relationships with our family and friends.

Coming soon, the world will witness the establishment of Guardians MMA. Founded by Leeds Marital Arts very own UK & Ireland amateur Lightweight champion, and PFL EUROPE ambassador, Charlie Lynch-Spence, this foundation embodies a dedication to nurturing the untapped potential of our youth through martial arts.
Committed to making a tangible impact in the community, our primary mission is to offer free MMA lessons to children and teens. These sessions go beyond just physical training; they’re a lesson in respect, discipline, confidence, and determination. And while our ambition is vast, our efforts are made possible through the generous support of our close sponsors.
As we gear up to roll out our programs, we understand the curiosity and interest surrounding our foundation. Rest assured, more detailed information about our activities, partnerships, and ways to get involved will be presented at a later date. Our ethos is firmly anchored in the transformative power of this sport, and we’re on a mission to build a brighter future for our youth, one punch, kick, and grapple at a time.
